Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs Video Compressor & Converter (the "App", "We", "Us"), operated from Pakistan. It explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Your media stays on your device

The App's video and photo tools — Compress, Convert, Trim, Crop & Rotate, Merge, Mute, Reverse, Speed, Extract Audio, Add/Replace Audio, Voiceover, Video to GIF, and the multi-track Video Editor — run entirely on your device using native Android/iOS engines and a bundled FFmpeg library. We do not upload the videos, photos or audio you process to our servers, and we have no access to their content.

2. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: information you give us directly (such as an email address, if you contact support or create an account for a feature that requires one), and information collected automatically as you use the App, including your device's IP address, device identifiers, browser or OS information, and how you interact with the App. Some of this is collected using cookies and similar tracking technologies.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the App and any account you create.
• Fulfil the purpose for which you provided it, and manage purchases or contracts with you.
• Communicate with you, including responding to support requests and, where permitted, sending you updates or marketing about the App.
• Understand usage patterns and improve the App through analytics.

4. How we share information

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the App (such as analytics, crash-reporting and subscription-billing providers), with affiliates, and — where a feature is inherently public (for example, a shared review or comment) — with other users. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain account information for 24 months after an account is closed, and usage data for up to 24 months, so we can analyze it and improve the App. We may keep information for a longer period where required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate technical/backup purposes.

6. Your rights

You can review or update your information from within the App's account settings where applicable. You may also delete your data, or ask us to delete it on your behalf, by contacting us at the address below — we will action such requests except where we are legally required or permitted to retain the information.

7. Permissions the App requests

• Photos / Videos: to let you pick a file to work on and save your result back to your gallery.
• Camera: only if you choose to import a video directly from your camera.
• Microphone: only while you are actively recording narration in the Voiceover tool.

You can revoke any permission at any time from your device's system Settings.

8. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do — please check back periodically.
